The Nalchik Garrison Military Court sentenced 39-year-old contract soldier Batyr Kanshokov to two years in prison. He was found guilty of evading military service, while from September 2023 to January 2024 he took part in the SVO.

Since 2023, the Azerbaijani authorities have intensified repression against human rights defenders, lawyers, journalists, opposition politicians, activists and scientists. The Southern District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don upheld the decision of the Grozny Garrison Court, refusing to pay compensation in the amount of 3 million rubles to a contract soldier of the Russian Guard from Chechnya, Ramazan Gadzimagomedov. He tried to get the money by proving that he was "injured" at the "SVO".
