Russian authorities announced a federal and international search for the native of Chechnya Murad Khadizov. Since 2014, he lives in the territory of Ukraine, is the deputy commander of the «Sheikh Mansur Battalion», participates in combat operations on the side of the Ukrainian armed forces.
Criminal proceedings were instituted against Khadizov under art. 208, para. 2, of the Criminal Code (creation and participation in an illegal armed formation). From 2002 to 2004, he was a member of an armed group operating in the territory of the Achkhoy-Martanovsky district of Chechnya, according to Russian law enforcement agencies.
