On the outskirts of the village of Eshilkhatoy, a battle took place between units of the federal forces and members of the CRI WF. About 10 infantry fighting vehicles and two Ural vehicles were burned. The loss of the Russian side in killed and wounded amounted to about 60 people.

On the night of August 23, Russian aircraft attacked the city of Argun. About ten houses were destroyed.

At 17.30, 400 meters from the Terek River, servicemen (military unit 42839) fired at a KAMAZ vehicle from an armored personnel carrier.

At dawn, the Russian military bombarded the vicinity of Assinovskaya station with artillery. As a result of the fire strike, several houses were partially destroyed and six combines belonging to the Assinovskoye state farm were damaged. There were no reports of civilian casualties.

On the night of August 20, in the village of Duba-Yurt, unknown armed men in camouflage uniforms and masks broke into the house of Musa Yasadov and shot everyone who was there.

On August 19–23, a “cleansing operation” was carried out in the village of Gekhi. The reason for it was the blowing up of a Russian military vehicle that led to the victims.

In the village of Novye Atagi and the village of Chiri-Yurt, the Russian military carried out operations accompanied by mass robberies of local residents.

On the night of August 17, the Russian military shelled the villages of Staryye and Novye Atagi, Chiri-Yurt, as well as a number of settlements in the Vedensky district.
