On August 19–23, a “cleansing operation” was carried out in the village of Gekhi. The reason for it was the blowing up of a Russian military vehicle that led to the victims.

In the village of Novye Atagi and the village of Chiri-Yurt, the Russian military carried out operations accompanied by mass robberies of local residents.

On the night of August 17, the Russian military shelled the villages of Staryye and Novye Atagi, Chiri-Yurt, as well as a number of settlements in the Vedensky district.

At dawn, the village of Alleroy, Kurchaloy District, was surrounded by military equipment. The "cleansing" began there. Several thousand military personnel took part in the operation (according to local residents, at least 7,000 people).

Khasukha Shalaudinovich Kantaev, born in 1965, was killed in Grozny as a result of indiscriminate shooting opened by the Russian military for an unknown reason. He was an employee of the Gazprom concern and permanently lived in the village of Chechen-Aul at the address: Sadovaya st., 25.

A kilometer from a stationary checkpoint on the outskirts of the city of Urus-Martan on the road leading to Alkhazurovo, unknown people attacked the POM employees stationed in this village: from the garden of the state farm named after. Michurin on the UAZ car in which they were traveling, fire was opened from automatic weapons.

In the village of Alkhan-Kala, the Russian military detained Z. Arsakaev and took him away. Under Article 126, part 2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“abduction of a person”), the prosecutor's office of the Grozny district on October 28 opened criminal case No. 19180.

At about 8 o'clock, near the village of Starye Atagi, the Russian military stationed on the territory of the local mill (the 48th brigade) blew up on the side of the road. Not far from this place is a bus stop where a woman and a teenage boy died the day before. There were people standing there this time, fortunately none of them were hurt.

At noon in the city of Grozny, between the villages of Khankala and the village of Michurin, a bus with passengers was blown up on the road. Two people died on the spot, three were taken in serious condition to the city hospital No. 9.

At noon in the village of Starye Atagi, Ruslan Edilbekovich Khasarov, born in 1972, who lived at 61 Argunskaya Street, was shot from a machine gun near his house by unknown people who arrived in a white VAZ-2106 car without registration numbers.
