Thousands of residents of Tbilisi and other cities of Georgia once again protested against the law on foreign agents. The day before, the protesters declared disobedience to the authorities until the bill was withdrawn, putting forward a number of demands.

A native of Chechnya, Arsan Mukaev, sentenced to life imprisonment, was killed in IK-18 (“Polar Owl”) in the village of Kharp, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. According to investigators, the cause of death was a blow to the head with a brick, inflicted by a cellmate.

The Moscow City Court extended the arrest of 25-year-old Ukrainian citizen, Crimean Tatar Lenya Umerova until August 4. Russian authorities accuse her of espionage.

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev spoke positively about the possible imminent signing of a peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia in Almaty. Previously, a meeting of the foreign ministers of both countries should take place there.
