Occupied Abkhazia is celebrating Victory and Independence Day today.

The new peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan marks one month and 22 days today. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan emphasized this during his speech at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. He stated that peace must be nurtured "so that it grows, strengthens, and bears fruit throughout the South Caucasus region."

Four residents of Buynaksk have been remanded in custody by the Sovietsky District Court of Makhachkala. They are suspected of plotting a terrorist attack – the bombing of the district police department building.

The defense team for Chechen teenager Muslim Murdiyev intends to appeal the sentence, according to Chechen Human Rights Commissioner Mansur Soltayev. He noted that Murdiyev has already served 11.5 months under house arrest and has one year remaining in prison.

Speaking at the Warsaw Security Forum, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy compared the situations in Moldova and Georgia. Noting the success of pro-European forces in the parliamentary elections in Moldova as evidence of the failure of Russian destabilization attempts, he expressed concern about Georgia's future.
