The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry called the visit of the heads of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan and Central Asian countries to Moscow for the Victory Parade an unfriendly step towards Kyiv and disdain for the Ukrainian people.

27 EU member states have decided to enlarge Europe. One of the potential candidates is Georgia, which received a European perspective, which was for it a historic achievement. 

«We are hopeful that Turkey will take effective steps towards peace in the region,» said Speaker of the Armenian Parliament Alain Simonyan. 

Following the meetings in the United States, the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia reached mutual agreement on certain articles of the bilateral agreement on peace and establishment of inter-state relations. At the same time, the sides acknowledged that positions on some key issues remain different, as stated in Baku.

Despite all agreements, Azerbaijan continues to try to aggravate the situation on the border with Armenia, in Nagorny Karabakh and in the Lachin corridor. This was stated by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at a briefing with Czech counterpart Petr Fiala in Prague.

The Institute for the Freedom and Security of Reporters (ICBL) of Azerbaijan condemned the authorities for increasing pressure on press freedom and called for a safe environment for freedom of expression. This is stated in the statement issued by the World Press Freedom Day on 3 May.

On May 3, the press service of the Russian president reported that the Kremlin was attacked by two drones. After this, regional leaders, one after another, began to introduce bans on the use of drones. Legislative and technological measures have been added to administrative measures, but UAVs continue to fly over Russian territory.

The overwhelming majority of Georgian citizens consider Russia the greatest political threat to their country. Eighty-seven per cent of the respondents to the International Republican Institute survey hold this view. 

Armenia, as well as China, Kazakhstan, and Brazil, voted for a UN resolution that named Russia as the aggressor in the war against Ukraine. Thus, the countries that Moscow considers to be its formal allies (Armenia is also a member of the CSTO) have spoken out against it.

Georgia was not granted EU candidate status because it refused to join sanctions against Russia. This was announced by Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze.
