The draft version of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly report for 2025 (the final version is not yet available) examines the issue of Georgia in several aspects. 12 members of the Gakharia for Georgia party have been stripped of their parliamentary powers due to “unreasonable absence from meetings.” In particular, Teona Akubardia, Ana Buchukuri, Giorgi Gakharia, Levan Gogichaishvili, Zaza Tavadze, Beka Liluashvili, Natia Mezvrishvili, Berdia Sichinava, Kakhaber Kemoklidze, Roin Kochorashvili, Dimitri Tskitishvili and Zviad Dzidziguri lost their mandates.

On July 1, the Tbilisi City Court sentenced one of the leaders of the opposition party "Akhali" and the coalition "For Changes" Nika Gvaramia to eight months in prison for refusing to testify to the temporary investigative commission of parliament. Before the verdict, the politician was in custody after refusing to pay bail in the amount of 30,000 lari.

Amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses are being rapidly introduced in Georgia, increasing penalties for protesters. The initiator of the legislative changes was the ruling Georgian Dream party.
