Gyumri Mayor Vardan Ghukasyan's pretrial detention has been extended by another three months. The prosecutor's office insisted there is a significant risk that Ghukasyan will commit new crimes if released.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan expressed his dissatisfaction with the country's church's transformation into a political party. He noted the lack of spiritual sermons in regular churches, claiming that priests instead read political texts, which he considered unacceptable.

Armenia has requested EU assistance in protecting itself from possible interference in its elections, fearing destabilizing actions by Russia. This was stated by the head of European diplomacy, Kaja Kallas.
