In Croatia, starving Chechen refugees were not visited by authorities

On the fourth day, six refugees from Chechnya are on a hunger strike in the Jezevo migrant centre in Croatia. Neither the authorities nor human rights defenders had visited them during that period.
Isa Daduyev, spokesman for the "Assembly of Chechens of Europe", said that there was discrimination on ethnic and religious grounds against Chechens and Muslims. They were allegedly detained on suspicion of religious extremism, despite a lack of evidence.

In the village of Kurt in the Prigorodny District of North Ossetia, there was a mass fight and shooting between natives of Ingushetia and North Ossetia. 11 people were taken to hospital.
Two sustained gunshot wounds to the abdomen, while the others suffered gunshot wounds, fractures and contusions. 
In total, about 50 people - 30 Ingush from Kurt and 20 Ossetians from the village of Kambileevskoe - took part in the conflict tonight. The fight and subsequent shootings began with a fight.

Last week, Arsen Dzhepparov was released from prison - figure in the case «Hizb ut-Tahrir». In 2016, he and five other Crimean Tatars were detained in Yalta. Lawyers of the center «Memorial» filed a complaint to the European Court of Justice in the case of Jepparov and another figure Inver Bekirov. 
The «memorial» recognized all six people as political prisoners. When the legal remedies available in Russia were exhausted, two of them were appealed to the ECHR.

Twenty-five residents of the village of Alkhan Kala, Grozny district, who were taken from their homes in January by the security forces to an unknown location, are being held in the Grozny remand centre. This was reported by the Human Rights Center «Memorial».

The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) asked the French authorities to postpone the extradition to Russia of the native of Chechnya Bouvaisar T.  Earlier, the French court in Nice decided to deport the man at the request of Russia through Interpol. The Prosecutor General’s Office guarantees a fair trial.
