Nalchik City Court ordered the former employees of the local Ministry of Internal Affairs - Azamat Akkaev, Beisultan Kertov and Timur Ketov - to pay 450 thousand rubles to the victims in compensation of moral damage. On April 28, in the Akhmatovsky District Court of Grozny, where the trial of the mother of oppositionists Yangulbaevs, Zarema Musaeva, was underway, her defenders demanded that the results of one of the examinations be excluded from the evidence in the case. We were talking about the study of nail sections on which the blood of a police officer who was injured by Musaeva’s attack was allegedly found.

The fourth operative of the police department for the Soviet district of Makhachkala was detained in a case concerning the use of torture against a local resident of Kurban Dalgatov, as a result of which he died. Three staff members were detained in January.

The wife of a Crimean Tatar political prisoner, Lehman Zekeryaev, visited him in Simferopol detention centre. Since his arrest, he has been in a special unit. 
According to his wife, no physical violence was used against Zekeryaev, but he was persuaded to cooperate with the security forces.
