Five police officers from Dagestan, previously found guilty of using violence against a detainee, kidnapping and torture, were released from custody. Security forces conducted a raid on parishioners of a mosque in Balashikha near Moscow. This was reported by Novaya Gazeta Europe. In Baku, a court extended the arrest of the chairman of the Azerbaijan Democracy and Prosperity Party, economist Gubad Ibadoglu, for three months. The politician stated that the charges and his detention were groundless.
