The administration of maximum security prison colony No. 12 in the Vologda region has sent Timur Tumgoev, a 38-year-old native of North Ossetia of Ingush descent, to solitary confinement until April. The facility is located on the territory of maximum security prison colony No. 5 for life-sentenced prisoners. The reason for the punishment was a verbal altercation between the man and a prison employee. According to the complaint filed by Tumgoev’s lawyer, he is now being held in a damp and cold basement, where he has to sleep in a jacket.
