The share of workers under 30 years of age in total employment in Chechnya in the last year was 26.4%. This indicator rose by 6.9 per cent over the year. Dagestan also registered an increase of up to 21.1% (+2.7% YoY) and Karachaevo-Cherkessia up to 17.9% (+7.2%). 

The Southern Military Court extended the arrest for three months of Dagestan journalist Abdulmumin Hajiyev, accused of financing terrorism. He has been in detention for almost four years. Two other persons, Abubakar Rizvanov and Kemal Tambiyev, will also remain in the SIZO.

The Southern District Military Court in Rostov sentenced Rasul Baysultanov, a resident of Chechnya, to 11 years' imprisonment. He was convicted of a terrorist offence - planning an armed struggle against the authorities in Chechnya.

The Presnensky District Court of Moscow arrested Timur Idalov, a lawyer from Chechnya, until June 10. He was charged under art. 318, para. 1, of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation the day before (threat of violence against a representative of the authorities). 
At the trial, Idalov said that the accusation against him was fabricated by the FSB with the help of the investigative authorities. 

As a result of the Russian strike on the city of Slavyansk, Donetsk region, eight people were killed. 21 people were injured. Among the dead was a two-year-old child who died in the ambulance.

On April 14, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law on electronic summonses and restrictions for draft dodgers. Before this, the bill quickly passed two readings in the State Duma and was approved by the Federation Council.

The Supreme Court of Chechnya sentenced to life imprisonment Shamil Basayev and Khattab, an alleged participant of the armed attack on a convoy of Perm OMON, a detachment of Chechen warlords, in 1999.

On the resident of Dagestan from the village of Tidib of the Shamil district Shamil M. a criminal case was initiated because of the publication of a video of the Ukrainian "Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Crimea".

The Security Service of Ukraine reported the detention in Odessa of a man who transmitted information to the Russian side about the deployment of Ukrainian units and coordinated raids on the city.

The Southern District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don granted the prosecutor’s request to extend the arrest to activists from Crimea Rustem Tairovu, Zavor Abdullayev, Jebbar Bekirov and Rustem Murasov. Political prisoners of the Crimean Tatars will remain in detention until 23 July.
