Prolonged shallowing of the Caspian Sea could hit plans for the development of beach tourism in Dagestan. This was reported by leading researcher at the Institute of Geology of the Far Eastern Federal Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences Idris Idrisov.

The average old-age pension in Dagestan, Kabardino-Balkaria, Ingushetia and Karachay-Cherkessia is from 14 to 16 thousand rubles per month. These are the lowest pension payments in the Russian Federation. The situation is slightly better in Chechnya and North Ossetia - about 16.5 thousand rubles.
