Chechnya became the leader in Russia in the dynamics of family divorces. In 2022 their number increased almost 2.5 times - to 3,783. In addition, the number of marriages decreased by 58% from 7,504 to 4,390. said Rosstat.

The number of returnees to Armenia from other countries is growing steadily. This was reported in the office of the Diaspora Commissioner.

Rescuers from Azerbaijan continue to eliminate the consequences of a strong earthquake in Turkey. Emergency Situations Ministry rescued 51 people and removed 613 bodies. Four Azerbaijani students are still under the rubble. 

The trucks crossed the Margara Bridge on the border, which had been closed between Armenia and Turkey for 35 years. Ankara Special Representative Serdar Kylych thanked Yerevan for the assistance rendered to the victims of the earthquake by his fellow citizens.

Russian Muslims donated more than 150 million rubles to charitable foundations to help those affected by the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria. The Chechens of Azerbaijan are also providing humanitarian assistance.

On February 9, the Chechen parliament unanimously approved amendments to the Constitution of the republic, according to which the head of the region began to be called “mekhk-da,” which literally translates from Chechen as “father of the region,” but in this context is used to mean “father of the people.” In addition, an addition was made to the Basic Law of Chechnya that the head is the guarantor of the “rights and freedoms of man and citizen” in the region and is responsible for territorial integrity and the maintenance of peace and harmony.
