On November 30, in Makhachkala, security forces conducted a search in the house of Dagestani historian, professor, and specialist on the Caucasian War, Hadji Murad Donogo. “After morning prayers, a group (not local!) arrived with a warrant. They went through the apartment and confiscated a computer, phone, flash drives, two bags of books, and folders. I still didn’t understand what they were looking for. Then they took me to the 6th department (Department for Combating Extremism of the Ministry of Internal Affairs - Ed.), interrogated, in particular, they were interested in my participation in international scientific conferences,” Donogo said in his Telegram channel.

On November 3, the UN Human Rights Committee published a report on the situation in Russia, among others, noting the most significant cases of human rights violations in the North Caucasus. Among them are forced conscription to war, forceful suppression of anti-mobilization protests, abductions, torture, persecution of human rights activists and journalists, representatives of the LGBT community, “honor killings,” the practice of collective responsibility and female circumcision.

On November 1, the French human rights organizations Habitat-cité and Comité Tchétchénie sent an appeal to the UN, declaring the inadmissibility of the deportation of Chechen refugees from France.

On October 13, the European Court of Human Rights, having examined complaints from 11 Russians, recognized them as victims of torture by security forces and awarded compensation totaling 208,300 euros. One of the applicants is a resident of Dagestan, Sultankhan Ibragimov.

On October 1, near the railway bridge near the village of Soldatskaya in the Prokhladnensky district of Kabardino-Balkaria, police officers and members of the National Guard shot two men.

On September 29, a regular hearing in the case of Zarema Musaeva took place in the Grozny court. The witnesses questioned in court - witnesses who were allegedly present during her identification in the pre-trial detention center - gave contradictory testimony.

In the Caucasus, Chechen women were the first to come to the rally. Calls to go to the square appeared in messengers the day before. 

On September 21, the Supreme Court of Crimea in Simferopol sentenced the deputy chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatars, Nariman Dzhelyalov, and activists Asan and Aziz Akhtemov. They were sentenced to 17, 15 and 13 years of imprisonment in a maximum security colony, respectively.
