A Moscow court has arrested Areg Shchepikhin for two months in a criminal case of extremism. The reason for this was the videos he published insulting Chechens and Muslims. The man was charged under the articles on "calls for extremism" and "incitement of hatred or enmity."

In the Southern District Court, the prosecutor has asked for 11 to 17 years of imprisonment for five Crimean Tatars. In particular, 41-year-old Enver Krosh is to be sentenced to 17 years in a maximum security penal colony, Edem Bekirov and Rinat Aliyev to 15 years, journalist Vilen Temeryanov to 13 years, and Seityaga Abbozov to 11 years.

The Southern District Military Court sentenced the fourth residents of Tatarstan - Ilgam Gumerov, Ilgiz Mukhametgaliev, Khaidar Razzakov and Mukhamedvali Shaikhutdinov - to imprisonment for a term of 13 to 24 years. They were found guilty of attacking Pskov paratroopers during the second Russian-Chechen war.

The Zheleznovodsk City Court sentenced a resident of Stavropol Krai, Oksana Kazantseva, to two years and six months of probation. She was found guilty of public actions aimed at discrediting the use of the Russian Armed Forces.

The Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case over the kidnapping of businessman Areg Shchepikhin in Moscow. The department reported that the defendants were taken to the Moscow division.

A court in Kazan arrested a local resident, Ruslan Tavdiryakov, for 10 days. He was found guilty under an administrative article for a post comparing nationalists at the religious procession with participants in the pogrom at the Makhachkala airport.

The Nalchik Garrison Military Court sentenced a serviceman named Shkhagapsoev to one year in prison. He was accused of unauthorized abandonment of his unit.

A prosecution witness, former employee of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Crimea (SAMC) Ruslan Bairov, was questioned in the Southern District Military Court. He said that he was not aware of the involvement of the Islamic party Hizb ut-Tahrir in terrorist acts and violence. He also did not know why the organization was included in the list of terrorist organizations in Russia.

About ten people held a rally in Brussels in support of 41-year-old native of Ingushetia Ruslan Meyriev. He has been in custody in the country since 2024, and Russia is demanding his extradition.
