The European Court of Human Rights ruled that three articles of the European Convention were violated in relation to residents of Ingushetia Ruslan Yandiev and Magomed Mutsolgov, as well as a resident of Dagestan Murad Dingaev. In particular, this concerns Article 3 (on the prohibition of torture and inhuman or degrading treatment), Article 5 (on unlawful detention) and Article 6 (on the right to a fair trial). In this regard, Russia is obliged to pay monetary compensation to citizens.
