In the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, Major General Mikhail Nadezhin, the head of the republic's Ministry of Emergency Situations, has been detained on suspicion of bribery. Officers from the Economic Security Department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs conducted searches of his home and workplace. The searches were part of a criminal investigation into a case of bribery on an especially large scale.

Following searches of the North Ossetia branch of the Russian National Guard in Vladikavkaz, the agency's head, Major General of Police Valery Golota, and his deputies were arrested. Criminal cases have been opened against those arrested on suspicion of bribery.

In Kabardino-Balkaria, the director and chief engineer of Elbrus MKD LLC have been charged in connection with the tragic accident on the chairlift on Mount Elbrus that occurred on September 12, 2025.

Access to materials on Soviet repressed persons stored in the State Archives of the Administrative Bodies of the Sverdlovsk Region and other regions has been significantly restricted. According to Ural researcher Oleg Novoselov, the archive now provides this information exclusively to relatives of the victims.

The nationalist organization "Russian Community" stated that the "derussification of Russian toponymy" in Russia is a direct path to separatism and the disintegration of the country. The organization noted that Chechnya plans to rename villages in "originally Russian Cossack regions" that were transferred to Chechnya by the Bolsheviks as a result of the policy of "de-Cossackization and de-Russification of the North Caucasus." The statement emphasized that "these villages have never historically been part of Chechnya" and that "Russians, not Vainakhs, have always lived there."

Three cities in Chechnya have received new names. The State Duma approved the renaming of Sernovodskoye to Sernovodsk, Shelkovskaya to Terek, and Naurskaya to Nevre in the first reading. Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov congratulated the residents of these settlements.

The State Duma has adopted in its first reading a package of bills renaming three settlements in Chechnya. According to the proposal, Sernovodskoye will become Sernovodsk, Shelkovskaya will become Terek, and Naurskaya will become Nevre.

The Magas District Court found Nazir Dzeitov, a 31-year-old imam from Malgobek, guilty of illegal weapons possession. He was given a suspended sentence of two years.

Officers from the Federal Bailiff Service (UFSSP) in Chechnya deported a group of foreign citizens from the country. According to the agency, the ten Uzbek citizens were working illegally.

In North Ossetia, posting photos and videos showing the results of drone attacks in the media and on social media is now prohibited. The ban also applies to images capturing drone overflights and the operation of air defense systems.
