Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Armenia on a working visit to participate in the European Political Community (EPC) summit. He was met at Yerevan's Zvartnots International Airport by Speaker of the Armenian Parliament Alen Simonyan. This is Zelenskyy's first visit to Armenia.

The President of the Caucasus Peoples' Assembly, a public and political figure from Chechnya, who was appointed to the Platform of Russian Democratic Forces at PACE in January of this year as a representative of Russia's indigenous peoples, may be expelled from it.

Apti Alaudinov, commander of the Akhmat volunteer unit of the Russian National Guard, denied reports from the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense about wiretapping his headquarters. He called the recordings "AI and LGBT work."

The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported a successful operation against personnel of the Russian "Akhmat" unit in the Sumy region from February to April 2026. As a result, according to the GUR website, the unit suffered its most significant losses since the beginning of the conflict: 41 people were killed and 87 were wounded. In addition, more than 100 members of the unit went missing.

On the occasion of International Labor Day, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that the peace established between Azerbaijan and Armenia opens new prospects for investment, entrepreneurship, economics, and education.

The Head of the European Union (EU) Delegation to Azerbaijan, Marianna Kujundzic, has been summoned to the country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In Baku, the ambassador was presented with a note of protest over the "anti-Azerbaijani" resolution adopted by the European Parliament on April 30.
