On March 16, the Sovetsky District Court of Makhachkala sentenced one of the participants in the anti-mobilization rallies that took place in Dagestan on September 24-25, 2022 after the announcement of partial mobilization. Mukhamed-Afandi Asipov received a 4-year suspended sentence for using violence against a government official (Article 318 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

On March 16, it became known that the judicial investigation in the case of Apti Visaev, a native of Chechnya, accused of inciting a terrorist attack and illegal possession of weapons and explosives, was being transferred from Krasnoyarsk to Khabarovsk. This will seriously complicate the defense of the defendant, his representatives note.

The Second Western Military Court in Moscow sentenced Dagestan Gazi Isayev, former head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Kizlyar district, to life imprisonment. He was accused of aiding and abetting acts of terrorism in the Moscow metro. He pleaded not guilty, calling all charges false and falsified. 

Investigative agencies have changed the accusation against Chechen native Zelimkhan Mazayev. He is accused of transferring money to supporters of the extremist ISIS group. He was previously accused of creating the NVF.

The Southern Military Court in Rostov rejected the defence request to return to the Prosecutor’s Office the criminal case concerning the murder of Ibrahim Eljarkiev, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Centre for Combating Extremism.

The resident of Dagestan Idris transported a cow and several calves in a trailer. In Kalmykia, he was stopped by police and kept on the road for four hours, resulting in the death of the calves, who were trampled by a cow. This was reported by «Baz».

The interrogation of Crimean Tatar political prisoner Ernest Seitosmanov took place in the Southern District Military Court. He explained that he had nothing to do with terrorism. The Court extended his detention for another two months. 

The prosecution repeatedly requested the examination of articles by Dagestan journalist Abdulmumin Hajiyev, which will not be ready before April. As a result, the trial, which has lasted for more than three years, is once again being delayed. 

The Pyatigorsk Garrison Court denied the claim to Senior Sergeant Arthur Turabov of the HRC, who tried to challenge the dismissal from the armed forces. Earlier, he did not agree to go on a combat trip - the war with Ukraine.

Zamin Salayev, an activist of the opposition party of the Azerbaijan People’s Front, has been starving in protest for 35 days. His state of health remains grave. The prisoner cannot walk and speaks with difficulty, but doctors do not visit him.
