The Fifth Court of Cassation annulled the decisions of the first instance in the case of the murder of Vladimir Tskayev, a resident of Vladikavkaz, by the police. The materials were submitted for new consideration. The cassation was filed by the defence of former policemen sentenced to real terms. 

A 12-year-old political prisoner from Crimea, Eskender Abdulganiev, reported that he was forced to obtain Russian citizenship in a prison in Vladimir. His lawyer Alan Kachmazov said so.

The Novorossiysk Maritime District Court extended the arrest of former serviceman, native of Dagestan Askhabaly Alibekov, for two months (known in the network as «Wild Paratrooper»). Criminal proceedings were instituted against him for the second discrediting of the Russian army.

Political prisoner and father of many children from Crimea Server Zekiryaev has been held in a punishment cell for a month for unknown reasons. This was reported by his wife Zarema Zekiryaeva.

Another protest rally is taking place at the Parliament building in Tbilisi. People are opposed to the proposed law on foreign agents, which may restrict the rights of the media and non-profit organizations.

Activist of the opposition Azerbaijan People’s Front (PNFA) Zamin Salaev has been on hunger strike for 26 days demanding to be released from pre-trial detention. He had hemorrhages in his stomach, his family told him. Salaev was also forbidden to see his family.

Former President of Georgia Mikhail Saakashvili reported significant deterioration of his state of health during 18 months in detention. According to him, he is «near death» and lost weight from 120 to 65 kg.

Criminal proceedings have been initiated against unidentified employees of the historical-educational and human rights society «Memorial» under the article of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation «Rehabilitation of Nazism». No official documents or requests have yet been received by the organization’s lawyers.

The Georgian government is not against the arrival of Polish doctors to examine ex-president Mikheil Saakashvili. This was reported in the Ministry of Justice of the country.

More than 10 NGOs of Georgia called on the authorities to respect the rights of citizens detained during the March 2 protest against the law on foreign agents before the Parliament. Tbilisi City Court released on bail seven of the 36 activists.
