The Nalchik Garrison Military Court found contract soldier Sergei Ti guilty of evading military service. He was sentenced to one year of imprisonment in a general regime colony.

The activists of the Crimean Solidarity movement from Bakhchisarai, Seidamet Mustafayev, Eldar Yakubov, Abdulmedzhit Seytumerov, Ruslan Asanov, Ametkhan Umerov and Remzi Nimetulayev, have been left in pretrial detention again until February 23, 2025. This decision was made by the Southern Military Court in Rostov.

Prisoners in Taganrog Pretrial Detention Center No. 2 are being tortured, including Chechen native Magomed Alkhanov. The victims are being asked to confess to complicity in the escape from Rostov-on-Don Pretrial Detention Center No. 1 and to tell which of the prison employees helped organize the escape. This was reported by the Memorial Human Rights Center.

Four Dagestani residents were detained on suspicion of organizing and participating in a terrorist group in the city of Derbent. According to security forces, accomplices of the suspects were previously detained in this case.

During the debate in the military appellate court, the prosecutor asked to soften the sentence of Dagestani journalist Abdulmumin Gadzhiev, who was sentenced to 17 years in prison.

The European Court of Human Rights has considered a number of complaints about the inclusion of citizens and organizations in the Russian register of foreign agents. Among those to whom the Russian authorities are obliged to pay compensation are entities from the North Caucasus Federal District.

A court in Crimea liquidated the independent Muslim community "Alushta" at the request of the local Ministry of Justice. The members of the organization have been repeatedly brought to administrative responsibility. Its imam Yusuf Ashirov was accused of illegal missionary work (Article 5.26 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).

Crimean Tatar political prisoner, citizen journalist Remzi Bekirov, sentenced to 19 years, has not been in touch for three weeks. He is being held in IK-33 in Khakassia.

Crimean Tatar activist Rustem Seitkhalilov was sent to a punishment cell for 14 days immediately after being transferred to IK-9 in Petrozavodsk (Karelia). This was reported by his wife. She does not know the reasons for placing her husband in solitary confinement.
