On March 16, it became known that the judicial investigation in the case of Apti Visaev, a native of Chechnya, accused of inciting a terrorist attack and illegal possession of weapons and explosives, was being transferred from Krasnoyarsk to Khabarovsk. The Second Western Military Court in Moscow sentenced Dagestan Gazi Isayev, former head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Kizlyar district, to life imprisonment. He was accused of aiding and abetting acts of terrorism in the Moscow metro. He pleaded not guilty, calling all charges false and falsified. 

Investigative agencies have changed the accusation against Chechen native Zelimkhan Mazayev. He is accused of transferring money to supporters of the extremist ISIS group. He was previously accused of creating the NVF.

The Southern Military Court in Rostov rejected the defence request to return to the Prosecutor’s Office the criminal case concerning the murder of Ibrahim Eljarkiev, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Centre for Combating Extremism.
