Russia and Ukraine have once again exchanged prisoners of war. More than 130 people returned to Ukraine, including Azovstal defenders.

On March 7, the Fifth Court of Cassation in Pyatigorsk overturned the verdict of the Leninsky Court of Vladikavkaz against ten Ossetian police officers convicted of torture and the death of detainee Vladimir Tskaev. The case will be returned for a new trial. However, only four of the defendants will remain in custody.

Despite the delay in mobilizing men with three or more minor children, the Kirov Court of Makhachkala denied this right to Rasul Nasuhov. The lawsuit was filed by his wife Soltanat Bibulatova.

In January 2023, the North Caucasus commissioned 532 thousand sq. sq. m housing, which is 15% more than the same period in 2022. This is reported by Rosstat.

The Fifth Court of Cassation annulled the decisions of the first instance in the case of the murder of Vladimir Tskayev, a resident of Vladikavkaz, by the police. The materials were submitted for new consideration. The cassation was filed by the defence of former policemen sentenced to real terms. 

The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry demanded the withdrawal of Armenian troops from Karabakh. Otherwise, the Azerbaijani army will have to disarm and neutralize them.

A 12-year-old political prisoner from Crimea, Eskender Abdulganiev, reported that he was forced to obtain Russian citizenship in a prison in Vladimir. His lawyer Alan Kachmazov said so.

The Novorossiysk Maritime District Court extended the arrest of former serviceman, native of Dagestan Askhabaly Alibekov, for two months (known in the network as «Wild Paratrooper»). Criminal proceedings were instituted against him for the second discrediting of the Russian army.

In Tbilisi, opponents of the law on foreign agents continue to protest. They have returned to the parliament building.
Today MPs have to make a decision to submit to the plenary session two bills on foreign agents - the Georgian and American versions. The legislature has strengthened security measures and restricted movement inside the building.

In 2022, Kabardino-Balkaria recorded the greatest increase in real incomes compared to 2021.
