Three members of the Amaev family who died in the Sunzha River a day earlier were laid to rest on August 10 in the village of Samashki in Chechnya’s Sernovodsky district. The funeral was held for 15-year-old Yasin and his uncles, Khamzat and Shamil, who lost their lives while trying to rescue the teenager.

On August 9, three people—a 15-year-old boy and two of his uncles—died in the Sunzha River in the Sernovodsky District of Chechnya. The men rushed into the water when the boy began to drown but were unable to get out of the river themselves.

In 2026, they will be able to enroll in the country's state universities without taking the Unified National Exams, and their tuition will be fully covered by the state.
