Industrial District Court of Vladikavkaz fined local resident Theon Kelehsaev 100 thousand rubles in the case of «discrediting» of the army. 

On May 26, the FSB and the Investigative Committee of Russia announced the detention of three former militants from the so-called “Kabardian jamaat” in Kabardino-Balkaria. According to investigators, Anzor Batyrov, Aslanbek Kazanchev and Taimuraz Nakusov, as part of the group of Shamil Basayev and Khattab, participated in the attack on Pskov paratroopers in 2000.

In the village of Nizhnee Kazanishche, Buynaksky district of Dagestan, residents took to the streets to protest against the detention by security forces of their countryman, surgeon Osman Osmanov. He is charged with terrorist article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

A trial has begun in Yerevan on the possible extradition of Salman Mukayev, a refugee from Chechnya, to Russia. His lawyer said that in the event of deportation, the client would be in mortal danger and human rights would be violated in Chechnya.

On May 25, a regional court in Western Kazakhstan, having considered the appeal of Elista resident Igor Sandzhiev, who fled mobilization, decided to deport him back to Russia. The man is convinced that he will face a long sentence in his homeland for desertion, and intends to continue to seek refugee status in Kazakhstan.

The Supreme Court of Russia upheld the sentence of four natives of Dagestan, who were previously given terms of imprisonment from 15 to 17 years.

The Baku Court of Appeal rejected the complaint of public activist Bakhtiyar Hajiyev against the refusal to transfer him to house arrest. According to the defense, no investigative actions are being taken against Gadzhiev and his detention is unreasonable.
